The Great Gatsby / F. Scott Fitzgerald
Once upon a time, in a very exciting and wealthy time in America, there was a nice young man named Nick who moved to a fancy town near New York. His next-door neighbor was a very rich man named Gatsby, who threw huge parties every night.
Mr. Gatsby actually became rich and famous for a very special reason. He used to love a very beautiful young woman named Daisy, but they broke up because he didn't have much money. So, Mr. Gatsby became incredibly wealthy because he wanted to see Daisy again.
Nick helped Mr. Gatsby and Miss Daisy meet again. They seemed to fall in love again, but Daisy was already married to a very rich and powerful man named Tom.
Eventually, a sad thing happened. Daisy was driving a car and had an accident, but Mr. Gatsby lied and said he was the one driving. Tom found out about this and was very angry, so he did a very bad thing to Mr. Gatsby.
Nick realized that Mr. Gatsby was truly pure and loved Daisy very much, but Mr. Gatsby's dream never came true. The story tells us that having a lot of money doesn't always make you happy, and it shows how difficult it is to chase after old dreams.
