Jaegyum: Hey Jaeyi, did you read that story about Pandora's Box for homework? The one on that blog, study53.tistory.com/114?

Jaeyi: Yeah, I did. It was kind of weird, right? This girl, Pandora, gets this jar, but she's not supposed to open it.

Jaegyum: Exactly! And it said that Zeus sent it to her as a gift, but really, it was a way to punish humans because Prometheus stole fire for them. That's sneaky!

Jaeyi: So, the jar had all these bad things inside, like sickness and sadness and anger. Why would they give her something like that?

Jaegyum: Well, the blog said she was very curious. Zeus knew she wouldn't be able to resist opening it. It's like when Mom tells us not to touch the cookies before dinner, and then puts them right where we can see them!

Jaeyi: (Giggles) Yeah, kind of! But it's much worse to let out all those horrible things into the world. Everything was good before, the story said.

Jaegyum: I know! And the blog mentioned that when she finally opened it, all the bad stuff flew out, but one thing stayed inside. Do you remember what it was?

Jaeyi: Hmm… I think it was hope?

Jaegyum: That's right! Hope. So even though all the bad things are now in the world, people still have hope to keep going.

Jaeyi: That's kind of a nice ending, even though the beginning was bad. So, Pandora's curiosity caused all the problems, but hope helps us deal with them.

Jaegyum: Yep, I guess that's the lesson of the story. Curiosity can be dangerous, but hope is always there.
